Tryouts

"Last Chance Tryouts" in the South

 ***This tryout is specifically for  14U, 15U and 16U girls interested in playing in the South region. 

When:  Sunday, November 20th 
              2:00 - 4:00 pm

Where:  Holmes Middle School

Cost: $25   (see the instructions below for all paperwork that is needed for tryouts)

2011/2012 MAVBC Tryout Procedures:

***Please read through the following steps carefully.  We look forward to seeing everyone at tryouts***

STEP #1:  WHAT AGE DIVISION CAN I TRY OUT FOR?

STEP #2:  PURCHASE A MEMBERSHIP WITH USA VOLLEYBALL (USAV)

The Chesapeake Region Volleyball Association (CHRVA) is the region that Metro American Volleyball Club operates within, while USA Volleyball (USAV) is the national governing body over CHRVA.  

A USAV membership costs $45.  CHRVA has recommended that everyone registers with a "partial" registration, which costs $20 and is non-refundable.   This allows your daughter to tryout with multiple clubs if she desires.  Once your daughter  has been chosen for a team, you will need to go back into your USAV account and designate which club you will be playing for and also pay the additional $25 for a full membership before she can be added to her respective roster. 

***When registering for the the partial membership, please list your "start date" as the day of the first tryout you will attend.  A partial membership lasts for 14 days.  If you do not designate a "start date", the system will default to today's date and therefore your membership may expire before you complete tryouts.

Print out the USAV receipt that will display at the end of the registration - IMPORTANT: you will not be able to participate in tryouts if you do not have this receipt on hand the day of tryouts.

STEP #3:  PRINT OUT AND COMPLETE A WALK-IN FORM

Click on the link below to download a Walk-In form that can be submitted at the time of tryouts, along with your $25 tryout fee. 

Tryout fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.  

STEP #4:  WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING THE DAY OF TRYOUTS!   

A.  Your USAV receipt that was printed out in Step 2...you will not  be allowed to tryout without this documentation.
B.  A Medical Release From (listed below)
C.  A Walk-In Form (listed below) and $25 Tryout Fee
