Sam's volleyball career began at Taylor Allderdice High School where he earned all-city honors and led his team to their first City Championship in a decade.
Sam attended American University (1998-2002) and graduated from American University Law School in 2005. During his time at the University (1999-2006), Sam was an assistant coach to the American University Volleyball team. The AU team won the conference championship 6 of the years that Sam was coaching and also qualified for the NCAA tournament 5 times. He is currently working as an Assistant State's Attorney in Prince George 's County Maryland.

Metro American Volleyball Club is pleased to add Rebecca Baltare as a 16 Travel assistant coach this year. Rebecca brings a variety of coaching experiences through Eastern Volleyball Academy (MI), Arlington Volleyball Club, and Washington-Lee High School.
Rebecca started her volleyball career at John McGregor Secondary School in Chatham, Ontario where she was the MVP of her varsity team for three seasons. During those years, she also played club volleyball for Chatham Ballhawks and was a member of Team Ontario, which travelled to Europe to train and compete.
Rebecca then went on to attend Eastern Michigan University where she helped earn her team the Mac West Division title. She was also named to the ESPN the Magazine’s Scholar Athlete third team. While at Eastern Michigan University, Rebecca earned her BS in Elementary Education.
Currently, Rebecca is a pre-K teacher at the Children’s School. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and running with her dog and watching Deadliest Catch and Top Chef marathons.
